 As you know, I am a semi regular user of DOGS B&B and have been for a while. I could NOT recommend anyone else more highly ! Jasper's last stay with Michelle (Jan. 2010), I had to coax Jasper to leave Michelle's home ! Michelle also once mentioned to me that Jasper was very much a part of the family, (quiet and asleep in her bed for most of the day), she almost forgot Jasper was in the house ! Jasper's other regular minder and favourite is Wendy in South Oakleigh. Marika (and Frank) is another minder I have used, they do not leave Jasper alone ! No wonder Jasper likes it when WE go on holiday !I am forever telling my friends and colleagues about Dogs B&B. Regards Karen J.
Hi, We were very happy with your service for Brutus and Pippa. We were extremely happy with Margaret, and would like to use her when the occasion is needed. Hi Sheryn and team, I have been meaning to drop you a line about Shelby’s holiday with Robyn. Shelby had a wonderful time and Robyn was great. It was good to see Shelby make herself at home from the start. Robyn was so caring and it sounds like Shelby got plenty of pampering and attention which she would love. Robyn even sent me a few texts letting me know what they had been doing and how well Shelby and her dog Luke were getting on. When we went to pick Shelby up she was so excited and happy to see us, just like at home when we’ve been out, so I knew she’d had a good time with Robyn. It certainly made our holiday more enjoyable knowing that Shelby was being well cared for. I would definitely have Robyn look after Shelby again when we go away and I have been telling everyone how wonderful Dogs Bed and Breakfast is, so thankyou for your great service and you’ll be hearing from me before our next holiday. Good afternoon, Millie had a wonderful stay with Dorothy. We have never used such a service and it was a great relief to know we had Dorothy. I think Millie was just as spoilt there as she is at home. Millie fell ill on her last day there and Dorothy was fantastic in her handling of the situation and have no hesitation in leaving Millie with her again. As for Joy, well what can I say, an absolute gem, very welcoming both to me and to Beau, cared for him as if he was her own, couldn't ask for more than that, I hope Joy will be available when I next need care for Beau. When I arrived with Beau to meet Joy she took us through to her lovely green shady back yard where Beau was able to become familiar with the new surroundings, Joy was very patient with him and managed to make him feel comfortable, when I left him the next day he was happy and didn't appear to be concerned at me leaving him, more importantly when I went to pick him up he was in good spirits and did not sulk the next few days as was our experience when we left him at boarding kennels on another occasion. Hello Deb & Brian, A BIG THANK YOU for recommending Margaret to look after Lottie & Henry. When we picked them up Margaret’s son said “Lottie made a welcome change from studying”. His comment gave me a warm fuzzy feeling as that is what having a dog is all about and I knew then that both dogs were well loved and cared for.
Margaret is a wonderful, wonderful lady with a big heart and we love her to bits. Dogs always bring out the best in people and she has certainly known a lot of dogs! Henry loves to lie on our bed and it wasn’t long before he found Margaret’s and she allowed him to stay there so he was certainly in a home away from home.
When both dogs came home they ran straight to Marmaduke the cat and excitedly licked his face “We’ve been on holiday (lick lick) and had a great time (lick lick), did you miss us (lick lick lick)”? Lifting his head he gave them a sideways dirty look “Ohhhhhh you’re back”!

Dear Brian, A short note to say a very sincere 'thank you' from myself and Kayla (my four legged daughter) for putting us in contact with Joss and Dudley. They were a delightful pair and Kayla settled in with no fuss or bother - I think that she even cultivated a romantic view of Dudley. After our initial meeting with Joss, I had no qualms about leaving Kayla with her for the weekend. Joss is a warm hearted and friendly person - a kindred spirit really and if ever I need to visit Melbourne for a long period and bring Kayla with me, you can rest assured that I will be contacting you to see if Joss is available.We even visited for a cup of tea and a play and to say goodbye. Hi Guys, Just a quick note to let you know we won't be needing your services any longer. We are moving to Singapore to live and unfortunately they won't let Staffy's in the country, so Bronson left yesterday to live with my in-laws in Brisbane. He turned 13 last week and I don't think he would have handled such a long flight anyway. We miss him already but will see him because we're visiting family (in Brisbane) next week before the big move. Just wanted to say how thrilled we were with the care Susan took with our dog Stella. We rang Susan while we away and there was always a detailed report by her on what Stella had been doing. Our son visited Stella while she was staying with Susan and he commented how loving the family was towards our little dog. When we went to collect Stella, after 2 months, she seemed completely happy and relaxed and we almost felt she couldn't choose whether to come with us or stay at Susan's. I wish to thank everyone at Dogs Bed and Breakfast for making it possible for me to leave our much loved dog with Jayne. I could not have found a better person to take care of Jacqui if I tried. Jayne had previously cared for her last July and we were fortunate enough again to be able to have Jayne care for Jacqui at the end of December into early January. Knowing that Jacqui was receiving the best of care put my mind at rest so that I did not have to worry about her welfare whilst we were visiting our daughter in Sydney. Jayne’s friendly attitude and love of dogs is obvious. She also followed up with a phone call to us to make sure Jacqui had settled back ok on her return to our home after the holiday. During our exceptional summer heat, a few weeks later, Jayne had contacted us again to make sure that Jacqui was not adversely affected by it. We look forward to being able to use Dogs Bed and Breakfast in the future and in particular Jayne’s wonderful care. Marie
To the Dogs Bed and Breakfast Team. Mushi's stay with Rachel, David & family was great. Mushi was spoiled rotten as per usual & enjoyed every moment. We were very impressed with the way they made time to get to know us & Mushi at such short notice of taking Mushi.We would like to recommend Rachel, David & family to all of your customer's except that we wish to be selfish & keep them to ourselves. Seriously though all of your minders have been great. It is hard to have a preference & mostly timing & convenience is a deciding factor. We have considered being minders ourselves, but our work restrictions would not allow this at this time. You never know what is around the corner. Dear Debbie, We just wanted to say a BIG 'Thank you!' to you for coming to our rescue when we were desperately looking for someone to care for Libby just before we left for our overseas holiday last year. We cannot thank you enough for making our holiday a really good one by helping us find wonderful people like Debbie and Robert to look after Libby for that duration.
Sending Libby to Debbie and Robert was such a perfect arrangement. Debbie and Robert were wonderful, we came home to a very relaxed and happy Libby, and it was obvious SHE had a good holiday too. It was a fantastic opportunity for Libby to socialize as well; there's hardly any chance for her to when we are at home. We've always worried about Libby being a typical boisterous boxer and it was so reassuring that Debbie and Robert didn't mind, being boxer owners themselves. They provided Libby with quality care in a home environment and we are so thankful to them.

Thank you we have already started singing your praises. We also include a picture of Gemma doing what she loves best ( that and eating!). Cean and Sue are fantastic minders. You could tell they loved dogs and had an easy laid back approach to the dog's presence. When we first met Cean my husband commented afterwards how his prime concern seemed to be for the dog he was minding at the time. It is little things like that you pick up on. When we came to pick Gemma up, she saw us through the wire door and barked joyously. When the door opened she rushed to greet us then went back inside! Normally when we pick her up from kennels she heads for the car faster than a speeding bullet. She obviously felt at home. We will be back. Kate

I just wanted to let you know that Gustav was really quite nervous when i dropped him off at Marika's place - i was pretty concerned as it was his first time away from us and staying with 'strangers' in a new place. Marika was absolutely fantastic in quelling my concerns and she even phoned me during our holiday to let me know that Gustav was doing fine. We would like to thank both Marika and Frank for taking such good care of Gustav, they are just wonderful. - they even left the kitchen light on for Gustav at night time so that he wouldnt get frightened in the new environment. How sweet!

Your service is a godsend for people like me that have a truely loved and probably spoiled pet that lives with his family and is always around us. Without your Dogs Bed and Breakfast I would find it most difficult to leave him and not worry about him. Thanks for all your help in finding a minder for Dudley, he had a great time with Darren (although it was nice to see he had missed us when we picked him up)! Yes Tilly had a lovely holiday with Glenda. It is great that I can go away and relax on holiday knowing that Tilly is in good care and off on outings to the beach as well. We picked Benson and Tilly up from Margaret's on Saturday night and they looked very happy and in excellent condition. Benson had no problem with his back while we were away which was great news. They were both excited to see us and Benson ran out and jumped into the car, he wasn't going to let us leave him again. I would not hesitate to use Margaret again to look after our "puppies". Her son did comment to her that they were very spoilt dogs and Margaret had to fight for leg space in bed at night. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year. Sue

He allowed me to pester him, constantly through the week end to check on Bebop. He was also very forgiving when Bebop weekled on his carpet and chewed his sunglasses.... I have been meaning to get in touch to thank you for everything, but we've been a bit busy starting up the year since we got back. We picked Dizzy up on our way back from the airport and we were all feeling a bit yuck after being on the plane for about 12 hours and experiencing delays and missed connecting flights at Sydney! So I didn't get much of a chance to check out Dizzy's experiences with Sherry - except that he was a bad aggressive boy once and although Sherry seemed OK with it, I was sorry to have had him behave badly there.
Sherry was wonderful with Dizzy and certainly very laid back about taking him on. I can't thank her enough for looking after him so well. He seemed to flop around the house for a few days after we got back, so he probably enjoyed all the walks he went on. Sherry did say that he seemed to go with the flow, but it's probably more because of her experience with "strange" dogs and the ability to let them do whatever their thing is.
I worried about him for the first three days after we left. But by the time we reached Barcelona, I knew that there was nothing I could do and I just had to get over it! We were all glad not to have left him in a kennel and it was easier to enjoy our trip knowing he had a nice home and a special human to look after him while we were away.
I can't thank Dogs B&B enough for the service it offers to fretting dog owners and your choice of minder couldn't have been better.
Sherry did say she would have Dizzy back - even though he wasn't as well-behaved as he could have been - I do hope she wasn't just being polite, because if we travel away again and have to leave Diz behind, we would certainly like to avail ourselves of your service.

They had a wonderful time with Regina, loved her house and back yard and got on with her chihuahua and I got to run around and catch up with all my friends. Thanks for organising Ollie's stay over NYE, he had a fantastic time with the other Ollie and whimpered as we drove away after giving him multiple kisses on the nose beforehand. Just wanted to let you know how pleased my husband and I both were with the way Trish looked after Bran while we were away. She evidently looked after him with a lot of care and attention and he seemed to have been very happy with her. He was homesick in the first couple of days and she rang us in Q'land to discuss what she should do to cheer him up. We were highly impressed with her and her dog Spike - as was Bran!
We were very hesitant about leaving him for a week, but his stay with Trish was definitely a great success. We will definitely be contacting you - and Trish - if we go away again. I have written personally to Trish to thank her for what she did, but you are more than welcome to pass on this email to her! Sandra and Carl were fabulous and I've already booked into use them again in February. They were so good with the dogs that it made me feel so comfortable to leave them there.cheers, Jane

Gabbi was the best. I am completely uncomfortable with leaving him with anyone other than me or my husband, but I was completely relaxed with the whole idea over the weekend. She treated him as if he was her own. Thank-you so much!!! Kym. E
Thankyou so much for finding a carer for Cracker and Sparkle on such short notice. The dogs really loved Sherry and I could see that they had the same care in her home as they do here with me, even down to sleeping on the bed! The text messages she sent were very reassuring as I was worried about leaving them. Turned out they had a great vacation and were very tired when they got home. Leanne
I am so grateful I had your brochure handed to me! Oscar loved being with Eileen, it was so wonderful to leave our little man and have him stay with someone who gave him as much love as we do, although I do think perhaps Elileen spoilt the boy a little more than we do as he is still trying to get into my dressing grown pockets as Eileen used to keep treat in hers and I think Oscar might be thinking that with persistence I might put some in mine!
