The Story of Zayne:

Hi I'm Brian and currently I have a Giant Schnauzer puppy called Zaynie. This page is dedicated to my cute friend ;-).

Zayne was born on 7th January 2008 as part of a litter of nine. She was the runt of the litter but quickly started to make up for her small start. Within a short time she become known as "Terrorist 2" by her breeder Marg. Yes there was one of the litter that was even more fearsome. At the time of writing she seems to be adding about a kilogram a week. At five months she weighs about 18Kg. She still has lots to grow as she will eventually be about 40kg.

Here we are at 6 months and Zayne is now weighing almost 25kg. Since I last wrote she has had her first hair cut and now she looks like a Schnauzer! Zayne has had the tooth fairy visit on a couple of occassions (It's very hard to find teeth on the carpet). The new teeth are enormous. She has well and truely worked out that the kitchen bench is the source of many wonderful things. She eats quite healthy though. All we found of a full loaf of bread one morning was the shredded remains of the wholemeal wrapper. I knew we couldn't leave meat out but Bread??? Our benches our now kept spotless for obvious reasons!

Zayne had her first visit to the Brighton Dog Beach at 6 months. Oh what fun! Some kind dogs even showed her what jumping in the water was all about. I wasn't going to get in. It was the middle of winter. We have been back to the beach since and Zayne was very brave and was able to show her brother and sister what it was all about.

At 9 months she now weighs 32kg and I'm starting to think this may be the last shot were I hold her up to show her size!

Her we are at zayne approaching her first birthday. She now weighs 35kg which is not bad when you start life as the runt of the litter. We have a special reunion planned of the entire litter. Stay tuned for what is bound to be a chaotic first birthday party!!!!

Well the party has come and gone. Can you imagine seven Giant Schnauzer puppies meeting for the first time in 12 months. The party was held at the Berwick Obedience Dog Club facilities. This was a wonderful place to meet as all seven Giant Schnauzer as they were able to run free... and run they did!

Zayne is now appraoching her second birthday and is just under 40kg. Some more recent photos of Zayne and friends can be found in the beach section of the Dog Galleries...

I hope you like the photos.

Mischief is my second name at 11 months. This was shortly after the summer haircut.

(Above) Our second trip to the beach at 7 months was lots of fun as Zayne had her brother (Zarac) and sister (Zanti) to play with.
